Wendy Oda, Founder, Executive Director
For many years, Wendy fought her own harrowing battle with drugs and alcohol. She finally got clean in 1991 and has maintained long-term recovery by working a 12-Step program with a sponsor and carrying the message of recovery to other women. For the past 12 years, Wendy has taken 12-step meetings into a California state prison for women, where inmates are hungry to learn about a new way of life. Up until recently, Wendy worked as a human resources professional for a large corporation where she directed the care and treatment of injured workers in the entertainment industry with the goal of helping them get back to health using as few drugs as possible. For almost 2 decades, Wendy's passion has been working with women who want to get and stay clean, offering her experience, strength, and hope. Wendy offers daily support and guidance to residents and their families.
